Salvia Senior Residence is constantly introducing novelties for its users, even now. During August and September in the morning hours, exercise in the sea will be organised under the supervision of a physiotherapist. The exercises are designed for all residents who are able to participate in accordance with their health condition because of the benefits of such exercises, including improved circulation, heart condition, muscle strengthening and reduced pain.

In addition to exercises in the sea, group exercises are held every day in the fitness room available throughout the day. The equipment is designed to be simple to use for persons in the third age of life while the exercise programme is varied and tailored to all users.

Vice county governor Marina Medarić, mayor of Crikvenica Damir Rukavina and representatives of the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development will tour the newly opened Salvia Senior Residence in Crikvenica. On that occasion, head of Salvia, Karolina Kudelić-Rasonja presented the donation to the Rehabilitation Centre “Fortica” in the amount of 10,000 kuna.

The vice country governor expressed her satisfaction with the first resort for senior citizens in Croatia build in accordance with the European fourth generation home model with the highest standards in all segments, being opened in our county.

Salvia Senior Residence in Crikvenica has been toured by a large delegation whose members, each in their own way, had supported the construction of the first senior residence in Croatia built in accordance with the European fourth generation home model. Salvia is located in Hrusta and covers a surface of seven thousand square metres.

For those less familiar with Crikvenica, it is just along the Adriatic highway, a few hundred metres east from the eastern entrance into the centre of Crikvenica. Although the home is by the road, the facilities are facing the south so the traffic and noise do not affect the comfort. The investment value is 80 million kuna of which 30 million was financed by HBOR (Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development)..
